First of all, I’d like to thank those of you who came out to support our Greyhound band at this past Saturday’s UIL Marching Contest. It was great to see such a huge number of parents, teachers and administrators supporting our kids. They were very appreciative and it was so great to see all the smiles on their faces after the results were announced. Straight 1’s!
The Band Department would like to invite you out to Beeville once again this coming Saturday, October 23rd as our Greyhound Band will be competing at the Area Marching Contest! This is a head-to-head competition where we will be competing amongst 30 other 1st Division bands for the right to advance to the State Marching Contest. Prelims performance time for the Greyhounds will be at 11:15 a.m. with results being announced at approximately 5:15 p.m. The top 12 bands from prelims will then advance to Finals during the evening and the top 6 finishers of the night performance will then advance to State.
