Today, Taft High School had a surprise visit from Raquel Ruvo, owner of Daisies N Denim Boutique, and her husband, Justin. They brought with them a $500 Wal-Mart gift card donation to be used for supplies needed by THS students.
"We are proud to be a local business here in Taft and through this donation we want to show our support and appreciation of Taft ISD and what it does for our Greyhounds," stated Ruvo. She continued, "We hope to inspire other local businesses to show their support through their gifts of time, talent and/or funds."
Ruvo's business, Daisies 'n' Denim Boutique, is located at 319 Green Avenue in Taft, Texas and plans to hold a special shopping event for Taft Independent School District teachers and teacher aides on September 28th.
